The earlier range of Reyrolle protection relays (Argus, Duobias, Rho and DAD): models such as 7SR10, 7SR45 and 7SR46 are still active, while 7SR21, 7SR22 and 7SR242 are cancelled and substitutes, including Reyrolle 5, are named for them

"The earlier Reyrolle range" in this catalogue means Siemens protection relays with an order code starting 7SR1, 7SR2 or 7SR4. The main families are Argus for overcurrent and earth fault (7SR10, 7SR11, 7SR12, 7SR21, 7SR22, 7SR45, 7SR46 and 7SR119), Rho for motors (7SR105 and 7SR17), Duobias for transformer differential (7SR24), DAD for high impedance and busbar protection (7SR23), 7SR157 and 7SR158 for check synchronising and voltage/frequency, and 7SR191 for capacitor banks. Before the 7SR numbering, Reyrolle devices carried 7SG and 7PG codes (for example Argus 7SG1114, Solkor N as 7SG18, and the 7PG auxiliary and trip relays), and Siemens still keeps documentation for some of them.
Read the order code (MLFB): codes 7SR5… are Reyrolle 5, which has its own page; codes 7SR1…, 7SR2… and 7SR4… are covered here.
SiePortal states the status article by article. In the samples checked:
Siemens has published no phase-out or cancellation for the range as a whole, and the SiePortal catalogue (valid from 1 November 2026) still lists twelve of its series: 7SR10, 7SR18, 7SR23, 7SR45, 7SR46, 7SR105, 7SR110, 7SR119, 7SR120, 7SR157, 7SR158 and 7SR191. For that reason the range is recorded as "active" on this site; but in the articles checked 7SR17, 7SR21, 7SR22, 7SR242, 7SR110 and 7SR120 are discontinued or cancelled, and the status differs from one article to the next, so the status of the exact code has to be checked.
The Reyrolle 5 catalogue (Edition 11) says 7SR5 is the new generation of 7SR devices and builds on 7SR1 and 7SR2; its serial protocols are compatible with existing Reyrolle 7SR solutions, so a device can be exchanged without changes in the control system. No Siemens page declares the whole earlier range obsolete: current siemens.com pages still exist for 7SR10, 7SR45, 7SR46, 7SR119 and 7SR23, and 7SR119 is a retrofit solution for older Argus relays.
The earlier range is configured with Reydisp Evolution (7SR1, 7SR2, 7SR45, 7SR46 and legacy products) and Reydisp Manager 1 (advanced configuration of 7SR1 and 7SR2); both are in the same free Siemens package that also contains Reydisp Manager 2 for Reyrolle 5. Some models can also be set from the fascia.

Siemens writes "Substitute solution", and this page does not claim that the replacement fits in place without changes to wiring, settings and mounting; check it against your own panel drawings and with your Siemens office before ordering.
No. On SiePortal the samples of 7SR10, 7SR18, 7SR45, 7SR46, 7SR105, 7SR119, 7SR157, 7SR158 and 7SR191 are "Active Product", while the samples of 7SR110, 7SR120, 7SR17, 7SR21, 7SR22 and 7SR242 are discontinued or cancelled. Because each article has its own status, the complete code of the device in question has to be checked.
For "Prod. Cancellation" articles SiePortal writes "This product is a Spare Part, please visit the Spares & Service section for more information" and "Sorry but this product is currently not available". For "End Prod.Lifecycl." it writes "The product is phased out/discontinued", and on two articles (7SR1206-2HA12-1CA0 and 7SR1703-3GA12-1CA0) it also shows "Still available". Siemens does not explain that wording and only says to contact Siemens; what it means in practice (for example stock) has to be asked of the Siemens office.
A four-pole non-directional overcurrent relay for retrofit; on SiePortal the sample 7SR1192-1MA00-1CA0 shows four current inputs (configured as 3 phase-fault and 1 earth-fault). Siemens says it replaces the older Argus 7SG1114 without new panel cutouts or re-wiring. On SiePortal this sample is "Active Product".
